We have another fabuous event coming to Port Vincent.
Join the owners and enthusiast of restored wooden and classic boats, visit the seaside markets, displays of vintage cars, motorbikes, hot rods and caravans.
Wooden boats will sail/motor from Stansbury in the afternoon on Saturday 18th April – and will be on view at the marina on Sunday morning – with a sailpast at the wharf (smaller boats to come to the main beach) around midday.
A full programme of events will be available in March.
The Free Marine Art Exhibition – “Into the Blue – Celebrating Life, Love and the Ocean” will be held at the Port Vincent Institute on both the Saturday and Sunday of the event. See more details under the events tab.
Banners from the National Maritime Museum with the theme Submerged will also be on display. The exhibition highlights Australia’s rich, yet often hidden, maritime history, featuring stories from over 11,000 shipwrecks around the coastline. It features 14 of the most compelling stories selected from 68 nominations submitted by 46 museums and heritage institutions across Australia. A huge thank you to the National Maritime Museum for their efforts ensuring that the banners are available for our event.
